Simon van Dingstee joins DocHeart as COO and co-founder
Simon van Dingstee joins DocHeart as COO and co-founder, taking responsibility for product strategy, operations and the continued development of DocHeart’s AI Operations Platform for Logistics. His appointment marks an important next step as DocHeart scales its mission to help logistics teams reduce manual work and build more efficient backoffice operations.
We’re excited to share an important next step for DocHeart: Simon van Dingstee is officially joining DocHeart as COO and co-founder.
Simon has been closely involved with DocHeart for quite some time. What started as helping us behind the scenes gradually became a much bigger role in shaping our product vision, strategy and the way we think about the future of logistics operations.
Making him co-founder is therefore not a sudden change. It is the logical next step.
Building the next generation of logistics operations
At DocHeart, we believe AI will fundamentally change the way logistics backoffices operate.
Today, many operational teams still spend a significant amount of time handling emails, processing documents, checking information, moving data between systems and resolving exceptions manually.
The first wave of AI focused largely on individual tasks and AI agents.
We believe the next wave goes further.
The real opportunity is to redesign the operation itself: creating an environment where AI can organize, automate and prepare work, while people remain in control where judgment and expertise are needed.
That is what we are building with DocHeart: an AI Operations Platform for Logistics.
Simon’s role at DocHeart
As COO and co-founder, Simon will be responsible for our product strategy, operations and the continued development of our platform.
His focus will be on turning the problems we see within freight forwarders, customs operations and other logistics organizations into scalable product solutions.
Sven Meijer, CEO and co-founder of DocHeart:
“Simon has already had a major impact on the way we think about DocHeart and our product. He combines a strong product vision with a deep understanding of operations and technology. Having him officially join as co-founder feels like a very natural step.”
For Simon, the opportunity lies especially in building technology that changes the way teams work rather than simply adding another AI tool to an existing process.
“What excites me about DocHeart is that we are not trying to sell an AI agent or automate one isolated task. We are building an operational environment in which people and AI work together to execute processes. There is an enormous opportunity to rethink logistics backoffice operations from the ground up.”
The next phase of DocHeart
Adding Simon to the founding team also marks the beginning of the next phase for DocHeart.
Over the coming period, we will continue to invest heavily in our product and work closely with logistics organizations to automate increasingly complex operational processes.
Our ambition remains simple:
Reduce manual work. Preserve operational capacity. Keep teams in control.
We’re very happy to have Simon officially on board, and even more excited about what we’re going to build together.
